Licensing

UNM Zoom is a free, centrally supported service available to all UNM main and branch campus faculty, staff, and students. The only requirement is that you have an active UNM NetID. (HSC, UNMH, and UNM Medical Group Users, please visit HSC Technology Zoom Page).

Types of UNM Zoom Accounts

Your UNM NetID can be provisioned with either a Basic or a Licensed/Pro UNM Zoom account: 

Basic

Basic Account Features

  • Attend Meetings Requiring Authentication
  • Limited Settings
  • 40-minute Time Limit

To create to a UNM Zoom Basic Account:

  1. Create a basic account by signing into UNM's Zoom sign in page with your UNM email (NetID@unm.edu) and password.

Licensed/Pro

Licensed/Pro Account Features

  • Attend Meetings Requiring Authentication
  • Access All Settings
  • No Time Limit
  • Up to 300 Participants

To upgrade to a UNM Zoom Pro License:

  1. Create a basic account by signing into UNM's Zoom sign in page with your UNM email (NetID@unm.edu) and password.
  2. Submit a request for an upgrade.
    Note: Your account will be upgraded within one business day.

Departmental Accounts

UNM Departmental NetIDs can also be provisioned with a UNM Zoom Pro License.

Have the sponsor/owner of the departmental account follow the steps above to create a basic account followed by submitting a request for upgrade. To create a new departmental account please follow the instructions found here: https://unm.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2150

Webinars & Large Meeting Add Ons

If you plan on hosting webinars or large public meetings, UNM IT has a limited number of licenses for webinars and large (more than 300 attendees) meetings that can be scheduled as a shared resource, and we can work with you for scheduling and organizing your event. If you regularly host webinars, you may also purchase dedicated webinar license to have it permanently associated with your account. Please complete this form if you would like to purchase a license for hosting a webinar.
